work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Philippians 2:12-13 NKJV

So where am I in my Journey of Faith?

God (through the work of the Holy Spirit) has placed in my heart:

A reverence for a Holy God and a longing to be holy as we are called to be ; 1 Peter 1:15-16 - But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy ."

A deep love for Christ and what He gave up for us
; Revelation 5:9-10 - and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."

A sincere desire to know God to the fullest
; 2 Thessalonians 1:8 - He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

An understanding that through Jesus we know God
; John 14:9 - Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.

A passion for The Word of God
; Psalm 119:105 - Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

A love for fellow Christians
; John 13:34-35 - By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

A burning passion to pray for those under the control of Satan
; 2 Peter 2:19 - for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.

A love for my neighbor
; Luke 10:27 - “'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

An intense longing to share the Truth of the Gospel
; Matthew 28:18-20 - 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

That I have a righteousness not of myself
; 2 Corinthians 5:21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 1 Corinthians 1:30-31 - 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God-that is, our righteousness , holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

A joy that cannot be expressed in mere words to have Jesus Christ as my Savior
; 1 Peter 1:3-9 - 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy , 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

A peace of knowing that my soul rests with the Lord in God's promise of eternal life
; John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

A profound understanding that as I more fully understand the Holiness of God, I am stuck with how sinful I was and would still be in the eyes of God - but for the righteous Blood of Jesus.
Not that I don't ever sin, though not as much as I once did, but that I am declaired righteous by faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, that the sacrifice of Jesus has paid for my all of my sins;  Romans 6:20-23 - 20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. 21 What
fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
